In November 2017, Cedar Hill voters approved $15 million for parks improvements, including funding for reinvestment in neighborhood and community parks. Construction began in November on the new playground equipment for Calf Pasture Park. The playground is expected to be complete in January 2019, pending weather conditions. Construction of additional amenities, including a drinking fountain, outdoor exercise equipment, and enhanced landscaping, will begin in early 2019.

After receiving feedback from park users and nearby neighborhood organizations, the Calf Pasture Park Project will include replacement of the playground, new outdoor exercise equipment, a drinking fountain, and landscape enhancements. The City Council will formally consider approval of the project scope and procurement in September, and construction is expected to begin in October 2018.
