Revitalization of Historic Downtown has begun! The week of February 7th, the construction contractor will be mobilizing equipment and surveying the land. We do not anticipate lane closures but equipment may be in the streets.

Atmos Energy began work in the downtown corridor in June, upgrading their delivery system from a low pressure system to a high pressure system which will provide better service to the businesses and property owners in the downtown area. They have coordinated their work with the City so that their new improvements will not be in conflict with the future street reconstruction projects. Atmos' work is expected to wrap up in September 2021.
