April Showers Bring May Flowers

After driving through downtown on the way to the bank, I made a post on social media about the beautiful irises I saw blooming at so many houses. I lamented that I could not reach out to anyone due to the social distancing to ask if they may be willing to share a flower or two as I work on my own garden. Irises are my favorite flower, and I was worried that they did not grow in this zone when I moved here from New Hampshire. I was delighted to see they still thrived despite the heat, and even more delighted when one of the folks in the downtown area - Miss Kenna - saw my post and reached out to offer some of their blooms at a future date along with tips on how to keep them happy and flowering. Year two of gardening adventures is a go!
