The part with the wooden and outdated equipment should also be addressed. That portion of the park is hardly used and it is a waste of space. Also wooden equipment is know for harvesting bees and wasps. Will you be adding more workout equipment or green space or tables?

KB asked almost 3 years ago

Thank you for your question! We are looking to update the exercise equipment as part of this project.

Why is the play equipment for small children at the very back of the park. Small kids are exhausted by the time they reach the equipment.

Grammy asked almost 3 years ago

Thank you for your questions! The existing play equipment at Ramsey Park is for all ages and is located at the front of the park near the parking lot. You might be thinking of the playgrounds at High Pointe Elementary School next door to the park - they are the property of CHISD although are usually accessible to the public.

Why are there only 2 choices in equipment? Only one has shade cover.

Grammy asked almost 3 years ago

Shade structures will be included with either playground option.

Will the trail be improved? I think the park needs a better trail and so much space is left unused.

DianaGVH asked almost 3 years ago

Thank you for your question! Improvements/expansion of the trail is not in the current project scope, but your suggestion will be passed along to the project team. They can evaluate trail improvements to see if they may be able to fit in the current project budget.

Since a lot of bicyclists utilize the concrete walking track, is it possible to add the a rubber foot path around the park so that there won't be more shin splint injuries?
